about

Hi! My name is Anna!

At the beginning of 2017, our family transplanted from southern California to the Bavarian area of Germany.  This blog is where I share our experiences navigating the uncharted waters of living abroad (the Dragons) while balancing being a domestic queen (the Dish Soap).

I firmly believe in pursuing an abundant life. To me that means embracing the beauty and chaos that make up my own story and being challenged outside my comfort zone by the stories of others. It means pursuing healthy wholeness of body, mind and spirit for myself and my family. I aspire to live fearlessly, with intention and a heart full of love.

When I am not pursing my adventures in domesticity, you can find me trying to cure my insatiable wanderlust. I will never say no to craft coffee or beer, and I firmly believe the darker the chocolate the better.

These are my boys. Every day I am becoming a little more of who I should be because of them.

Husbando and I met in college. He was the city slick California boy and I was the independent farm girl. We've shared some pretty marvelous adventures in our few years together: college, marriage, graduate school, two cross country moves, two babies... He's the dreamer to my doer, planner to my improviser, passion to my critical thinking. He is an endless fount of compassion and understanding in my life. He is my rock. His heart is pure gold. Truly #blessed.

D was born in the fall of 2012. He is a ball of pure delight. From the moment we met, I have been enchanted by his red hair and vivacious spirit. He will never say no to dessert, and has a deep and lasting love for trains, Curious George, and visiting the park.

J was born spring of 2015. He has quietly charmed his way into our hearts with his peaceful, calm spirit. He rarely gets overtly excited, but when he does it's usually about swimming or a good book.
